INRIX Predictive Traffic Flow

INRIX Predictive Traffic Flow accurately predicts the future, anticipating conditions on specific routes for the next few minutes, days, hours or weeks - up to one year ahead. The technology combines input of commonly known traffic-impacting factors such as the current traffic conditions, day of the week, season, holidays and related days, current and forecast weather, accidents and road construction, as well as other events such as school schedules, sports games and concerts. This allows INRIX to make predictions conditioned on dynamic knowledge of current and future conditions, including:

Journalistic Incident Data

INRIX Journalistic Incidents service is based on strategic partnerships with leading regional incident providers, including automobile clubs across Europe and Clear Channel Total Traffic Network in North America. Accidents, construction and other traffic-impacting events are collected from manned traffic operations centers using networks of reporters, traffic cameras and spotters. Building on this data, INRIX offers the impact and estimated duration of a traffic incident - giving individuals and businesses the insight and flexibility to anticipate and avoid traffic delays.

Traffic Maps

INRIX Traffic Overlays include images with vectors representing color-coded traffic conditions on road segments. Overlays of INRIX traffic flow, journalistic incident data and traffic cameras can be delivered to display over your existing map platform, or INRIX can deliver the overlays on a dynamic or static map.

Traffic Cameras

Images from traffic cameras can be sent to mobile phones, displayed on a Web page, or viewed on a connected navigation device. This service is available to INRIX customers via our exclusive partnership with Vizzion, the leading aggregator of traffic camera images.
