Kirkland, WA —August 14, 2014—INRIX®, Inc., a leading international provider of traffic information, transportation analytics and driver services, announced that Tony Posawatz, the President of Invictus iCAR LLC and former General Motors (GM) executive, has been elected to the INRIX Board of Directors.
“Tony’s experience leading the automotive industry forward through the adoption of breakthrough technologies is invaluable to INRIX as we expand collaboration with automakers beyond traffic to a variety of other data-driven services in the Connected Car,” said Bryan Mistele, president and CEO of INRIX.
Mr. Posawatz brings to INRIX a wealth of automotive experience from his 30 years working at GM and from his current role at Invictus iCAR LLC, an automotive innovation and clean tech consultancy. Before founding Invictus iCAR, Mr. Posawatz served as President and CEO of Fisker Automotive from August 2012 to August 2013. Previously, Mr. Posawatz was an executive at GM where he helped lead the company’s full-size truck business as well as the automakers Global Electric Vehicle Development program. Under his leadership, he brought the Chevrolet Volt from concept to production – to this day the Volt is the only vehicle to earn Motor Trend’s “Car of the Year” honors in Europe and North America. He is considered one of the auto industry’s leading experts on vehicle electrification, alternative propulsion, connected car and clean tech ecosystems.
