INRIX on the Green: Giving Back and Connecting - INRIX

This September, INRIX had the pleasure of joining business leaders, partners, and friends for the Open Hand Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at Tustin Ranch in Orange County, California.

Hosted by the Open Hand Foundation and Power Buying Dealers, Inc. (PBD), the annual tournament brought together executives and representatives from organizations including ExxonMobil, Toyota, Liqid, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Monster, Core-Mark, Frito-Lay, Farmer Brothers, and many others all in support for an important cause.

Driving Toward a Cure

The Open Hand Foundation supports dementia research and has donated more than $1 million to the cause to date. For me, the mission is personal. My family has been involved with this event for more than 22 years.

With no cure for dementia, continued research, awareness, and fundraising are incredibly important. We were proud to support that mission this year, including sponsoring an INRIX hole at the tournament.

Connections On and Off the Course

Beyond supporting an important cause, the tournament provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry leaders in a more personal setting. Throughout the day and over dinner, I spent time with executives from organizations across the automotive, logistics, delivery, retail, and consumer industries.

For me, the event was a reminder that meaningful partnerships can go beyond business. Bringing people together to build relationships while supporting dementia research made the day especially worthwhile.

As I reflected after the event:

“INRIX provides data analytics for better traffic and delivery, while the Open Hand Foundation provides donations for better health and research. Anything we can do to support those missions is OK by me. It was a great experience connecting with companies and executives while working generously for a noble cause.”

Upcoming Events

The tournament was a great start to a busy stretch of partner and industry events. Next up, I will attend the HERE partner event in San Jose. In October, I’ll head to Seoul and participate in LG Electronics’ Automotive Content Platform webOS Summit. We’re also looking ahead to CES in Las Vegas in January 2027.

We’re already looking forward to returning to the PBD Open Hand Foundation Golf Tournament next year, continuing to build connections while supporting a cause that means so much to so many.
