INRIX Compass is a groundbreaking solution that harnesses Generative AI and INRIX’s vast 50-petabyte data lake to accurately identify transportation issues, reveal root causes, and provide unparalleled predictive insights. By utilizing Amazon Bedrock alongside INRIX’s deep industry expertise, Compass seamlessly accesses, analyzes, and queries diverse transportation datasets, delivering actionable intelligence.
Expanding Availability: Mission Control & Safety View
Initially launched within INRIX IQ Mission Control, Compass has set a new standard for transportation intelligence solutions. Mission Control empowers transportation professionals with real-time insights and a comprehensive view of traffic conditions.
Compass will soon also be available in Safety View by GM Future Roads & INRIX, aimed at enhancing road safety through predictive analytics. By leveraging AI-powered insights, Safety View helps decision-makers proactively implement countermeasures to reduce accident risks and improve roadway conditions.

The Power of Amazon Bedrock
INRIX Compass is powered by Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that provides access to leading foundation models and robust tools to build Generative AI applications. Through our collaboration with AWS, Compass integrates Amazon Bedrock with INRIX’s proprietary cloud-based data lake and industry expertise, enabling the development of AI models tailored to the unique challenges of mobility.
Compass is built on an Agentic Architecture featuring over 40 AI-powered tools, designed to generate highly accurate and context-aware responses. This system enables users to ask complex questions such as:
“What are the top crash hotspots in this neighborhood?”
“Can you find 5 other locations in the roadway network that share these same characteristics?”
“What FHWA countermeasures can I implement to reduce risk?”
During our AWS AI Session presentation, INRIX also unveiled exciting new features, shared key learnings, and discussed challenges in building and deploying generative AI solutions at scale.
