Using Autotelligent and our cloud platform, INRIX Traffic automatically plans a driver’s upcoming trips. By applying machine learning allows us to personalize routes to avoid traffic, recommend trips and departure times, and provide alerts to help drivers plan ahead.
Based on learned driving patterns, INRIX Traffic creates a daily, personalized itinerary of anticipated trips, as well as frequent and preferred routes – even with the app running in the background and the phone tucked away. INRIX Traffic also includes frequent destinations – like home, work or school – so you don’t have to. By accessing the calendar on the phone, the app automatically adds events with addresses to the daily driving itinerary.
INRIX Traffic uses a huge crowd-sourced network, more than 275 million connected cars and devices, to manage the commute. By using OpenStreetMap, considered to be the “Wikipedia of Maps,” we’re able to pack the app full of features like machine learning, traffic, parking, turn-by-turn navigation and offer it for free and without ads. Users can contribute back to the community by reporting crashes, construction locations, hazards, police activity and even map accuracy.
